Aww, it's summer time. We've been enjoying our lazy, spontaneous, hot summer days. The boys have spent most of their time catching bugs (grasshoppers) in the yard and playing with the neighborhood kids. There's been lots of scooter riding, slip-n-sliding, popsicles and ice cream cones. We had some fun family outings to Seven Peaks Water Park and a Bees game. (Of course I have no pictures.) I love the freedom of summer. We went to the library, played in the fountain next to it and then ate pizza from the Pie one day. Or we went to Murray park, decided to grab some lunch there and happened to be in time for a free magic show.
We spent our 4th at Riverton City Park for breakfast, free swimming, and then, after dinner at the Gerritsens, the fireworks show. Everyone should see a fireworks show up close once in their lives. The kids loved it. Even though Audrey spent most of it curled up on Jer with her pouty lip out, she claimed to love it and talked about it plenty the next day. Paul watched the show with his head back and arms out. They claimed it was the best 4th ever.
These are the only pictures I got that day--us waiting for the fireworks to start.
It's been hot, hot, hot and dry, dry, dry here. There have been many wildfires. Finally yesterday a storm came through and cool rain fell most of the day. It was so refreshing. It's the only rain we've had since May. Other than that, it's been a nearly perfect summer.

it's blurry but you could see the flames climbing the mountain above the temple
