It's Great to be 8

Paul turned 8! He's getting so grown up. He didn't have a friend party this year, but he did get to go with a friend to Airborne--the trampoline arena. Dad also brought MacDonalds to school for lunch. I made a spy cake for him for his family party and that about sums it up.
He got a pocket knife now that he is a cub scout and some roller blades from Grandma and Grandpa Spencer that he wears almost constantly. He had asked for a leather jacket which Grandma and Grandpa Gerritsen got for him. You should have seen his face. I'm not sure about my little boy in a leather jacket, but he pulls it off quite well.
Paul is such a great big brother and fun kid. He likes making up his own jokes, which are actually quite good. He's a quick learner and is full of ideas to build things or make something more efficient. He is really looking forward to being baptized. We sure love him.
