Our good friends, the Despains, from Optometry school came to visit for a few days since the American Optometry Association conference was in Salt Lake this year.
It was just like old times (minus living in the ghetto) and we all just picked up where we left off even though it's been two years and two kids since we'd seen them. I miss being their neighbors and having such great friends close by.
We did some geocaching, visited Granite Cemetery and church (our old neighborhood which was founded by the Despains), played at Liberty Park, walked around Wheeler Farm and had a all-around good time.
Holly and Audrey (neither had been born last time we were together)
Audrey loved helping take care of Baby Holly.

They still act like brother and sister.

I didn't realize the Despains had another baby- how fun to catch up with your good friends! The bbq looks fun too. Kinda wish we could've been in town for the AOA conference. Hoping to see everyone again around Christmas-time.
The BBQ looks like you had a lot of fun! By the time I read your comment on our blog about the get together, we had missed it--bummer! My fault for not checking more often! I'm so glad that you are all doing so well, and that your projects are all coming together!
Again, thank you so much for hosting such a great evening! We all were having so much fun catching up no one even worried about the grill!
