Our major landscaping project for this year was our side yard. We designed it as we went and are quite happy with the results.
Before, but after we sprayed the weeds:
Our neighbor kindly allowed use of his backhoe to remove the big rocks buried in the front yard and the side yard:
Next we dug out a river bed and had a truck load of cobble rock delivered:
After a couple days of moving rock by hand, bucket and wheelbarrow, our bishop brought his bobcat over and moved the rest of the rock in place including a few of the big rocks. Then we planted a few spruce trees and an aspen. We laid down a weed barrier and covered it all with mulch.

I'm itching to get started on our yard, we are still staring at weeds and rocks! Hopefully we'll get our patio poured next week and then we can get started. Thanks for the creative inspiration. :)
