Paul and Sam played soccer this fall and loved it. Between practices and games we started out the season with soccer 4 nights a week. I quickly decided that was too much and so cut out the optional practices. I'm just not ready to be that kind of soccer mom yet.
This was Paul's second year playing. He played on a co-ed 1st/2nd grade team. There were a couple kids from his school class and a girl from our ward on his team. He played the entire time most games and ran around with a big grin. He also liked playing goalie or defense so he could chat with his friends at the net. He did great and is a competitive and energetic player.

This was Sam's first year playing and he was hoping to be on his buddy from our ward's team, but no luck. He played on a co-ed pre-k team. He started off the season pretty determined to prove his skills, but by the end of the season he mostly just ran around pretending to be a super hero. Soccer at this age is pretty entertaining and provided lots of laughs and cheers. Sam looked forward to his games and had a great time playing. I missed his picture time (thinking it was after the game not before) and then I brought my camera bag (without the camera) to his last game to get some pictures of him and his team. So these shots were taken at home after his game.

Yep, 4 nights a week is a bit too much to ask for a 4 and 6 year old!
